Castellón de la Plana. El Fadri Tower (Torre El Fadrí)

The Bell tower of Saint Mary Cathedral built separate  from church and called "El fadri tower" (Torre El Fadrí map). To build the tower began almost half a century before the Cathedral in 1440. Under the guidance of architect CAEP (maestro Saera) to 1457 built its first tier, after which the construction stopped for nearly half a century. In 1591 Portuguese architect Damian Mendez (Damián Méndez) was developed by the construction project, which began two years later, and 1604 the tower was completed. The octagonal structure has a height of 57 meters and consists of four tiers, associated screw lestai.
